Clane is a thriving village located c. 35 km from Dublin, 14km from the university town of Maynooth and some 9km from Naas, well positioned between the M7 motorway (Naas) and the M4 (Kilcock). Clane expanded greatly in the last fifteen years with the construction of new residential and commercial developments.

The town is well serviced by bus. Sallins Arrow Station is a short distance away with a fastest journey time of 15 minutes to Dublin (Heuston).
