Three former HSE Health Centres are currently for sale with O’Neill & Co. The potential filled properties located in Kill, Clane and Blessington are all zoned ‘Town Centre’ in their respective Area Zoning Plans making them suitable for redevelopment.
The Kill property, ‘Marsville House’, comprises Victorian two storey period residence that has been vacant since 2013. The property, which is well known locally, was constructed circa 1800s for use the private residence and dispensary of the local doctor and was subsequently purchased and operated by the HSE. Marsville occupies a prominent position on the town’s Main Street, located beside the local supermarket, bus stop serving the Capital and other recreational amenities.
Approached by a tree lined avenue the property is set on a large site area of circa 2 acres (0.82 hectares). The protected structure extends to 203 sqm (2185 sq ft). There was planning permission granted by Kildare County Council in 2014 for the conversion of the property to a family home, including permission for the addition of a 113 sqm extension (Planning Reference:14230). The site is likely to attract extensive redevelopment due to its large site area, location and wide scope of uses.
The former health centre in Clane lies on the Ballinagappa road within the nucleus of the town centre. The building comprises a single storey office on a parcel of land extending 0.33 acres (0.13 hectares).
The Blessington property similarly comprises a single storey building laid out in offices. The property is on the Kilbride Road a short walk (120m) from the Main Street and extends to 0.53 acres (0.21 hectares). The property also benefits from views of the Blessington Lakes of which it borders.
